Working principle of spiral welded pipe machine
Spiral welded pipe machine is a special equipment for the production of spiral welded pipe. Its working principle mainly includes the following steps:
Raw material preparation:
Place the steel strip coil on the uncoiler, straighten the steel strip by the leveler, and remove the bending and wave of the steel strip.
Molding:
The straightened steel strip is wound into a spiral shape according to the set spiral angle by the guide device of the forming machine. The forming machine consists of a number of forming rollers, which roll the steel strip into a tube shape by continuous step-by-step bending.
Welding:
The formed spiral steel pipe is welded at a welding machine, usually using high frequency welding (HFW) or submerged arc welding (SAW) technology. During the welding process, the edges of the steel strip are melted and joined together by heat and pressure to form a continuous weld.
Weld treatment:
The welded steel pipe is cooled by a cooling device, and then the excess part of the weld is removed by a weld processing device (such as an internal and external weld remover) to ensure that the weld is flat and smooth.
Dimensional control and inspection:
The welded and processed steel pipe is measured and adjusted by a size control device to ensure that its diameter, thickness and roundness meet the standards. Finally, through non-destructive testing (such as ultrasonic testing) to detect the weld to ensure the quality of welding.
Fixed length cutting and finished product processing:
The steel pipe that has been tested is cut to a fixed length according to customer requirements, and then made into a finished steel pipe through anti-corrosion treatment, packaging and other processes.
Application of Spiral Welded Pipe Machine
The spiral welded pipe produced by the spiral welded pipe machine is widely used in the following fields:
Oil and gas transmission:
Because of its high strength, good toughness and excellent corrosion resistance, spiral welded pipe is often used in pipeline engineering for long-distance transportation of oil and natural gas.
