DN3840 Spiral Welded Pipe Mill Successfully Produces 32mm Ultra-Heavy Wall Pipes

Recently, Huaye Machinery’s project site in Zhejiang, China achieved another major milestone: the DN3840 large-diameter spiral welded pipe mill has successfully produced pipes with a 32mm ultra-heavy wall thickness.
Compared with the previous 30mm wall thickness production, this marks a new upgrade in manufacturing capability and sets a higher benchmark in the field of ultra-thick spiral welded pipe production.
The production line is operating with stable performance. Pipe forming is smooth, welding quality is excellent, and dimensional accuracy meets strict engineering requirements. This fully demonstrates the reliability and advanced technology of the complete spiral pipe mill under high-load production conditions.
Machine Specifications:
Material: Q235, Q355
Steel coil width: 1000–2000 mm
Steel pipe diameter: Φ630–Φ3840 mm
Steel pipe thickness: 10–32 mm
Cabin configuration: forward-swinging, center-mounted
This production line operated stably, with a smooth forming process and excellent weld quality. Both the dimensional accuracy of the pipe body and its structural performance met the expected standards, fully demonstrating the reliability and advanced capabilities of the entire spiral welded pipe unit under high‑strength operating conditions.
With the successful production of extra-large-diameter pipes measuring 3,840 mm and ultra-thick-walled products with a wall thickness of 32 mm, this project has further expanded the application scope of spiral welded pipes in large-scale infrastructure, energy projects, and critical pipeline systems.
