The Uzbekistan 1620 API Spiral Pipe Plant project was completed by Huaye in 2009. The total investment in the plant’s equipment exceeded US$10 million. The complete set of equipment for this project includes: a main forming mill; a flat‑head beveling machine; a hydrostatic testing machine; X‑ray flaw detection equipment; an expanding mill; and other finishing‑area equipment (such as roller conveyors, pipe‑ejectors, support frames, slag‑removal devices, rotary idlers, weighing systems, etc.).
This equipment employs a rear‑swing forming process, and its continuous, nonstop production mode significantly boosts manufacturing efficiency. Annual output can reach 160,000 tons, and it is capable of producing spiral welded pipes made from API X70 steel with diameters up to 1,620 mm and wall thicknesses up to 25.4 mm.
