Longitudinal Welded Pipe Mill
Product Introduction
The longitudinal seam welded pipe mill is a highly efficient production unit specifically designed for manufacturing longitudinally welded steel pipes. After the steel strip is uncoiled and straightened, it enters the forming machine, where rollers bend the strip into a tubular blank. Subsequently, the skin effect and proximity effect of high-frequency current rapidly melt the edges of the steel strip; followed by compression from squeeze rolls, which extrude surface oxide layers and impurities, fusing the base material into a seamless tube.
The forming methods of longitudinal seam welded pipe mills are classified as: FF forming, roller‑die forming, and FFX forming.
Applications of longitudinal welded pipes: Longitudinal welded pipes are primarily used in the petroleum, natural gas, urban gas distribution, pipeline networks, chemical, power, steel‑structure space frame, and water‑gas transmission industries, and are widely employed in various pressure‑bearing pipelines.
Process flow: Coiling → Uncoiling → Leveling → Shearing and butt welding → Loop storage → Forming → High-frequency welding → Medium-frequency annealing → Water cooling → Sizing → Cutting → Output → Deburring and edge chamfering → Hydrostatic testing → Finished-product collection.

Shipping and Delivery
Although welded pipe equipment is inherently bulky and heavy, it is largely modular, and we strive to design each module so that it can be loaded into a standard shipping container.
However, there are always certain specialized components that, no matter how the design is modified, still exceed the container’s internal dimensions. In such cases, we resort to using frame containers or open-top containers.
If there are too many oversized or overweight components, we will opt for shipment on a bulk carrier.
